Japanese Grant Aid to support counterterrorism capabilities of the Government of Sri Lanka

The Government of Japan provided a grant of Japanese Yen 250 million (approximately 332 million Sri Lankan Rupees) to the Government of Sri Lanka for the procurement of counterterrorism and public security equipment, such as network camera monitoring system and x-ray cargo inspecting system manufactured by Japanese enterprises in order to enhance the capacity of the Government of Sri Lanka in counterterrorism and public security.  
 
 
The Exchange of Notes for the above project was signed between H.E. Mr. Kenichi Suganuma, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka and Dr. R H S Samaratunga, Secretary, Ministry of Finance, on February 27, 2017 at the Ministry of Finance in Sri Lanka .
