Visit by Mr. Iwao HORII, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. HORII, will be visiting Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 2.
During his stay, Vice-Minister HORII will participate in the “Indian Ocean Conference 2017”(*) organized by the India Foundation in association with S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Singapore, and will have bilateral meetings with Sri Lankan political leadership and others.
(*) Indian Ocean Conference 2017 An international conference co-organized by India Foundation and a Singaporean academic institute, with support from Indian and Sri Lankan governments. This is the second round of conference (the first conference was held in Singapore last year), and it aims to discuss a variety of issues related to national security and economic development with major states and maritime partners in the Indian Ocean, focusing on “Peace, Progress and Prosperity” as its overall theme.
