Ambassador of Japan Hosts a Reception to Mark the Beginning of Tenure in Sri Lanka

Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, H. E. Mr. Akio ISOMATA, hosted a reception at his Official Residence on 28th November 2024 to celebrate the commencement of his duties as the Japanese ambassador, which ceremonially began on 7th November upon presenting his Letter of Credence to His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The reception was graced with the attendance by many distinguished guests from both the current and past governments, diplomats, international organisations, civil society and other close partners with Japan.

In his address, Ambassador ISOMATA reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to enhancing the robust bilateral partnership with Sri Lanka, emphasizing cooperation in areas such as economic development, cultural exchanges, and regional stability.
The evening was a great occasion for strengthening ties and dialogue among Sri Lanka's leadership, diplomatic community, and Japan’s representatives.
