Ambassador ISOMATA’s Visit to Kattankudy, Batticaloa

On January 22, 2025, Ambassador ISOMATA visited the Meera Jummah Mosque, the Mohideen Methathai Periya Jumma Mosque, and the Jammiyathul Balah Arabic College in Kattankudy, Batticaloa District. During his visit, Ambassador ISOMATA also engaged in discussions with representatives of the Kattankudy Mosque Federation.

Ambassador ISOMATA acknowledged the efforts that the federation and the Muslim community have been making to foster peace and cohesion among different communities. He also stressed the value of tolerance and coexistence embraced across different ethnic and religious groups, while reiterating the commitment of Japan for continued assistance in socio-economic development of the Eastern Province as well as in trust-building towards reconciliation and national unity.
