A New Skills Test: Automobile Repair and Maintenance Skills Test for Specified Skilled Workers Begins

The Embassy of Japan is pleased to announce that the Government of Japan has introduced a new skills test in the field of “Automobile Repair and Maintenance” in Sri Lanka from November this year. This test provides an opportunity for individuals seeking employment in Japan as Specified Skilled Workers (SSW). With this addition, skills tests held in Sri Lanka cover nine fields, namely Nursing Care, Food Service, Agriculture, Construction, Airport Ground Handling, Accommodation Industry, Building Cleaning, Automobile Transportation, and Automobile Repair and Maintenance.
To qualify for employment in this Automobile Repair and Maintenance sector, candidates must pass both the skills test and a Japanese language proficiency test. The required language proficiency level is N4.
