Ambassador ISOMATA observed a self-treatment type flush bio-toilet in Polonnarwa

On the morning of 23rd January, Ambassador ISOMATA observed “AQUAMAKE”, a self-treatment type flush bio-toilet installed in Gal Vihara in Polonnarwa. This facility is constructed under JICA Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Finance Promotion Project with the aim of contributing to improving the local water quality and promoting local tourism with a recirculating toilet that does not release treated water.

Eiwa Land Environment Co., Ltd., which carried out this project, won the 7th JAPAN Construction International Award in 2024 in recognition of its achievements in Sri Lanka and other countries.
